Cortland Banks announces 3 new additions to the Commercial Lending Team

CORTLAND - Cortland Bancorp the holding company for the Cortland Savings and Banking Company (the “Bank”), along with Chief Executive Officer James Gasior and Executive Vice President Tim Carney, would like to announce the appointment of Nick Berardino, Stanley J. Magielski and Joseph A. Marino, as new members of the CSBC Commercial Lending Team. The appointments are effective July 13, 20, and August 2, respectively.
Mr. Berardino, Mr. Magielski and Mr. Marino will join Chief Lending Officer and Senior Vice President Stanley P. Feret and Vice President and Group Leader William Holland, along with Carrie Stackhouse and Jim Duff on the CSBC Commercial Lending Team for the Bank. The CSBC Commercial Lending Team is purposefully comprised of industry strength and knowledge to provide local businesses with customized solutions. The CSBC Commercial Lending Team’s focus is forward-thinking solutions with the old-fashioned customer service Cortland Banks’ customers have come to know since the Bank was established in 1892.
Nick Berardino | Vice President, Commercial Lending
New to the CSBC Commercial Lending Team, Mr. Berardino is highly skilled in customizing commercial loan products, resulting in a positive experience for his customers.
A lifelong resident of Mahoning County, Mr. Berardino has been an established commercial lender for the past five years, with 10 years of local banking experience. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Berardino held the position of Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer with The Home Savings & Loan Company in Youngstown. Mr. Berardino’s area of specialty is owner occupied businesses.

Mr. Berardino earned his Bachelor of Business Management and Finance, from Mount Union College.

Stanley J. Magielski | Vice President, Commercial Lending
A new CSBC Commercial Team member, Mr. Magielski is proficient in tailoring commercial loans to the specific needs of local businesses.
Mr. Magielski has been an established commercial lender for the past five years, with 10 years of local banking experience. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Magielski held the position of Commercial Loan Officer with The Home Savings & Loan Company in Youngstown. Mr. Magielski is experienced in small business and commercial lending with a strong history of structuring and closing investments real estate transaction.
“As a lifelong area resident, I am dedicated to the success of the tri-county and its businesses. From commercial lending to real estate loans, I believe customer service is the backbone of every relationship. That's why it remains a top priority before, during and after the transaction,” Magielski said.
Mr. Magielski earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in finance, from Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business, where he was on the dean’s list and received the YSU Trustee Scholarship.

Joseph A. Marino | Vice President, Commercial Lending
A new CSBC Commercial Team member, Mr. Marino will provide strategic solutions to commercial loan requests relevant to the specific goals of each business.
With 11 years of banking experience, Mr. Marino offers comprehensive industry knowledge, having worked for both a credit union and a bank. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Marino held the position of Commercial Loan Officer with Park View Federal in Cleveland. Mr. Marino’s areas of specialty are SBAN lending and commercial real estate.

Mr. Marino earned his Bachelor of Science in Financial Resource Management, from Ohio State University.
